Kimberley Coast of Western Australia

This evening before sunset we sailed along the Kimberley coast of Western Australia. The coastal area was very desolate, hot, and rugged. The rock was sandstone capped with basalt. The aborigines lived in caves along the coast but left  to go inland about 80 years ago. Today this nature reserve is uninhabited except for the wildlife. It serves as a breeding ground for the large crocodiles and  sharks that swim in the waters.  Aborigine drawings can be found in the caves.  The area was very quiet and as the sun set the colors in the rocks were a beautiful sight.

  2. Views from a distance are better, some times, than close up walking in them. Easier and cooler too. Great!
